All students are required to obtain housing at least 1 month prior to their arrival in Freeport. The University's Housing Database (accessible via your myRoss account at http://myross.rossu.edu) is available to assist you in finding housing. You will receive your student ID and access to your myRoss account once you have submitted your seat deposit. The Housing Database (labeled Bahmas Housing) is located in the Student Services tab of myRoss. The site allows you to search through a large variety of housing types and price levels. You also have the ability to search by specific criteria, view photos of the accommodations, and view details regarding location, rent, and amenities. The Housing Database will be updated for each MERP session and students will be eligible to reserve housing 3 months prior to the start of MERP orientation. Each landlord listed on the website has signed a formal agreement with Ross University and has agreed to abide by the "Landlord Code of Conduct." If you have housing-related questions, please contact Antoine Brooks at 732-276-1754 or 242-350-2311 or BahamasHousing@rossu.edu.
In order to secure a unit, the first month's rent and security deposit is required. Payment must be in the form of an International Postal Money Order, a Bank Cashier's Check, or a Certified Check denominated in US dollars and made payable to the landlord. All forms of payment must be negotiable outside of the country in which it was purchased. No Personal Checks will be accepted. Payment, along with the signed lease, must be sent via courier service. We recommend using UPS, FEDEX, or DHL. Please note: Registered mail or regular mail services should not be used.
